Open in Christmas Day. After a long walk in the water, we stopped at O’hartas for some beer and wings. Beer selection is solid and the bartender is great. Wings…try the Asian wings, tiny kick but fantastic flavor. Great vibe, lots of TVs for football. Will be back soon!
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here, and will definitely be back. It was our first time eating here, as we've only lived in Jersey City for about a year. He had the weekly special, a steak, and said that the flavor was fantastic. I'm vegan, and while there isn't really anything specifically on the menu for me, I had the avocado salad and a side of fries and it was delicious and a perfect amount of food for myself. Jennifer was amazing! She made us feel welcome, learned our names, and gave us some of the best service we've had in a long time. Even if it wasn't for the food, we would come back just for her! But since we enjoyed the food as well, this definitely will not be our last visit to O'Hara's!
Good food, great service. I popped in for an early lunch, was there before they opened and waited actually. I ate at the bar, and even though I was working and couldn't have a drink, I was treated attentively and kindly by the bartender. Matter of fact, even with a few large carry-out service orders, she was great with all of the patrons who came in, balanced it all. I had the special squash soup (its autumn and I wanted root veg) and buffalo wings to start, and they were both better than good, and only my own interpretation of excellence is what prevents them from that status to me. But what a fun looking bar and restaurant, with really good bar food, and very obviously a great culture in the staff. I look forward to dining here again, and to not be working and throwing a few back with friends. Great spot.

Stopped in over the weekend to catch a couple college football games and have a few drinks. Place has has a nice comfy environment with a lot of TVs. Drinks and food were solid! 🍔
O’Hara’s Downtown was such a great experience. The food was fresh, came out fast, and everything tasted really good. The vibe is fun and relaxed, which makes it a perfect spot to hang out. El truly made the night, though. She was so friendly, attentive, and had the best energy. She made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel genuinely taken care of. We will definitely be back and asking for her again.
